A company's configuration may allow users to create a secret question and secret answer to retrieve or reset a user's password. If secret questions and answers are part of the configuration, your company can use one of two question / answer options:
The company may provide a list of pre-selected secret questions from which users can choose. Users can select one of the questions and then provide the correct answer to the question.
The company may allow users to define their own secret question and answer.
If your company uses secret questions and answers, users may need to occasionally change their secret question or secret answer for any of the following reasons:
The company has modified its list of pre-selected secret questions, and the secret question the user chose is no longer in the company's list.
Since the user last signed into the application, your company began using a pre-selected list of questions and no longer recognizes the question created by the user.
The user wants to change their secret question or provide an updated secret answer.
Note: If PeopleFluent iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) is enabled, users cannot configure secret questions or secret answers on the My Account Page.
